Activities / Schemes
Hostels
Prematric Hostels
There are 43 Pre-Matric Hostels functioning in the District. Among the, 34 Boys Hostels and 9 Girls Hostels are presently running.
Postmatric Hostels
There are 18 Post Matric Hostels functioning in the District. Among the 10 Boys hostels and 8 Girls.
Mess charges
Mess charges being provided @ Rs.1000/- Per Month to Hostel boarders studying from Class-III to IV and @ Rs.1250/- Per Month to boarders studying from Class V to X and Mess charges being provided @ Rs.1400/- per month to Post Metric Hostel boarders.
Cosmetic charges
Cosmetic Charges paid @ Rs.110/- per month for 3rd to 6th Girl Boarders, Rs.140/- Boys and 7th to 10th Girl boarders Rs.160/- , Boys 155/-.
Post Matric Scholarships
To enable the B.C, EBC and Kapu Students to pursue higher studies in various courses, Govtrnement is implementation the scheme of Postmatric Scholarship and tuition fee Reimbursement.
Admission in to corporate colleges
Under this Scheme BC and EBC Students who got 7 GPA points in SSC examinations and applied corporate college scheme through Jnanabhoomi website were admitted in intermediate in corporate junior Colleges.
Pre Matric Scholarships
An amount of Rs 50/- per month (Day schorlars) for boys and girls for 10 months and adoc grant Rs.500/- per year Total Rs.1000/- sanctioned to 9th and 10th class student, who are studying in Govt/Aided schools under new scheme.
NTR Vidhesi Vidyadharana
To enable the benefit of higher education in foreign universities to meritorious BC Students here by providing them an opportunity for better career prospects within the country and abroad, Government have decided to introduce the scheme of financial assistance to BC and EBC Students for pursuing studies abroad. An amount of Rs.5.00 Lakhs shall be payable to the Students in Two Installments (Total Rs.10 Lakhs).
BC Advocates
In order to assist the Backward Class advocates and to enable them to improve their performance and settle them in their profession, the Backward Classes Welfare Department is imparting training to 8 BC Advocates in “Administration of Justice” for every year. Under the scheme, the following assistance is provided to each candidate during the training period of 3 years.
- An amount of Rs.6,585/- towards purchase of books and Furniture
- A stipend of Rs.1,000/- per month for 3 years.
REGISTRATION OF COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES
The Government have delegated powers to BC Welfare Department for registration of Cooperative Societies belong to Backward Classes of Nayee Brhmin, Washermen, Uppara, Viswa brhmin, Kummara / Salivahana, , Boya, Vaddera, Medara, Batraja, Toddytappers.
