The office of the Executive Engineer (Public Health), Vizianagaram was established in the year 1986. The office of the Executive Engineer (Public Health), Vizianagaram is working under the administrative control of the Superintending Engineer (PH), Visakhapatnam at Regional level and the Engineer-in-Chief (Public Health), Tadepalli, Guntur District at State level under the Administrative control of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
Two Public Health Sub-Divisions are working under the control of Executive Engineer (PH), Vizianagaram, one at Vizianagaram and other at Bobbili.The Department works in ULBs of Parvathipuram, Bobbili and Saluru are under the purview of Public Health Sub Division, Bobbili and that of Vizianagaram and Nellimerla ULBs are in the purview of Vizianagaram Public Health Sub Division.

Objectives
The Department is in charge of Formulation, Designs, and Execution of Water Supply and Sewerage Schemes in the 4 ULBs of Vizianagaram district, besides the Technical Control over all the Engineering works in these Municipal Towns.
After completion, the Water Supply and Sewerage Schemes will be handed over to the concerned Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) for operation and maintenance.
Services
Department offers the following services to the ULBs
- Approval of designs of Municipal works.
- Technical sanction to estimates.
- Technical opinion to the Municipalities in finalization of tenders.
- Check measurement of works executed by the Municipal Engineers.
- Periodical inspection of water supply and sewerage schemes maintained by Municipality.
- Processing for approval of Bye-laws for water supply in Urban Local Bodies.
- Any other works entrusted to the Department.
